A 50-stand exhibition and conference for businesses seeking to cut their carbon emissions has added an extra day for anyone considering a career in the low-carbon economy.
The Big Zero Show is expanding to a two-day event and will take place at Coventry Building Society Arena from 2-3 July 2024. The second day will be focused on skills and the jobs of the future.
The event, now in its third year and organised by Future Net Zero in partnership with Coventry City Council and Energy UK, attracted 1.500 delegates in 2023.
Sumit Bose, founder of Future Net Zero, says that now is the time for businesses to act on emissions and that the show has expanded because organisations must have the skills to support their low-carbon plans in the future.
He said: “We’re excited to be expanding The Big Zero Show so that we aren’t only guiding businesses – but also people who will make up the crucially important workforce for the low-carbon economy.
“We are now in our third year and have seen significant year-on-year growth, effectively doubling in size from last year. Coventry is at the forefront of green technologies. It makes it the ideal location to grow the show.”
Jenni Ford, director of sales and marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We’re proud to host this important event which is preparing businesses and individuals with vital knowledge and skills for the future. At the venue, we are currently accelerating our own sustainability strategy so we know how important it is for businesses to gain expert advice. The Big Zero Show is set to continue its growth and we look forward to supporting that expansion.”
