Advanced Engineering opened at the NEC Birmingham today featuring self-driving shuttles showcased on an outdoor track at the Midlands venue.
The two-day event, organised by Easyfairs, has partnered with the Solihull and Coventry Automated Links Evolution project to unveil the Ohmio Lift autonomous vehicles (pictured).
The fully electric transport can carry 20 passengers and learns with every journey. Multiple shuttles can connect to form a self-driving tram system, ensuring efficient solutions for real-world mobility.
Simon Farnfield, event director, Easyfairs said: “It’s incredibly important for visitors to experience this cutting-edge technology firsthand. It not only showcases the advancements in autonomous transport but also highlights the potential for integrating such solutions into our daily lives. This opportunity allows attendees to witness the future of mobility and understand its impact on urban transportation.”
