AI multilingual platform service, Interprefy, surveyed over 1,000 decision-makers in events, marketing, and project management at multinational companies worldwide to explore top international events and the multilingual event tech services they provide.
The research report, ‘Global businesses and live translation’ found that professional leaders of global organisations with a multilingual workforce want meetings to be as efficient and inclusive as possible.
65% cited that the importance of making meetings/ events more accessible to the audience, closely followed by improving audience engagement (61%), with the report revealing that globally unproductive meetings cost companies approximately $1.4 trillion annually.
The report also revealed that the top five most popular events where professional simultaneous interpretation has been used are:
- Business meetings (69%)
- Industry conferences (64%)
- Company ‘all hands’ (63%)
- User Conference (62%)
- Trade Shows/ Events (57%)
Commenting on the results, Oddmund Braaten, CEO at Interprefy, said: “There is growing recognition of the power of real-time translation to support meetings with multilingual requirements, both at external and internal events. This shift has been fuelled by the adoption of hybrid working and the acceleration of organisations seeking out employees and freelance teams across the world.”
