The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced its 50th new member is GTech Community Stadium, the home of Brentford Football Club.
The brand new 17,250-seater stadium was completed in 2020 when it relocated the football club from Griffin Park, home to the club for over a hundred years.
Now, the innovative stadium aims to be home to the most inclusive club in the country and stands at the centre of plans to regenerate the surrounding area.
Rachel Parker, director, AEV, said: “We are so pleased to welcome GTech Community Stadium as our newest member. We promote venue enhancements by encouraging member collaboration, sharing best practices and knowledge and offering insights into the latest trends, venue management policies and technologies.”
Alan Walsh, operations director, GTech Community Stadium said: “Having been open since 2020 the GTech Community Stadium and Brentford Football Club are keen to continue strengthening our position as the premier events venue in west London. Working with AEV will help us do this and much more, including working with others in the industry and both expanding and sharing our skills. It’s particularly an honour to be AEV’s 50th member and we look forward to being a part of the network.”
Parker added: “The AEV community is growing and the sporting venue representation, including GTech Community Stadium, will contribute to the diversity of expertise within it.”
