Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre has kicked off what is set to be its busiest year since opening in 2018.
The venue has seen growth across its client portfolio and new customer base, with 2024 planned to bring 85% more visitors through its doors and counting, compared to last year.
This year will see Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre host a variety of events, including Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, Security & Policing, The Big One – Fishing Show, SQLBits, The British Motor Show, Screwfix Live, Everything Electric South and the internationally attended Farnborough International Airshow.
As the venue enters its next period of growth, Farnborough International has looked internally to bolster its leadership team. Helen Ridley has been promoted from head of event management to assistant venue director.
Ridley said: “After four years of career development at Farnborough International across event management roles, I am thrilled to be appointed the Assistant Venue Director. Over the last 12 months we have been focusing on increasing our events portfolio and client base, driving a wider range of events to the venue and region. Looking ahead to 2024, we will be dedicated to supporting our clients and partners with delivering first-class events, with customer service at the epicentre of our strategy, while positioning Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre at the heart of the UK’s event industry.”
